Import from Sibelius not Showing System Brackets?
Hi there,
I just exported a large score from Sibelius that has many system brackets but they don't show in MuseScore.
Is it possible they're just hidden and I need to discover how to un-hide them?
Can someone please advise?
Thank you!

How did you Import? as MusicXML? If so via Dolet or not?

OK. Same result with this smaller file. Brackets not showing after opening in MuseScore.
Also, a screenshot of how they look in Sibelius.

I'm no expert, but I don't see any instruction in that MusicXML file saying to add staff brackets. That version of Sibelius is pretty old, probably they hadn't gotten around to implementing that in the export yet.

Hey Steve. I know you said problem solved, but I'd be interested in the sib file to further clear up some things.

Sorry, the forum won't let me upload it because of the *.sib extension.

I think you can put it in a zip file. Also the musicxml. My version 7 will export as compressed or uncompressed xml. MuseScore will only open one of them.

V 7 exports compressed or un-compressed xml. MuseScore can open the compressed version.
No Dolet. Nothing else required.

Do you have V 5 or V 5.1? It looks like they use different dolets.

If you still have PhotoScore Lite, you might try saving you file as a PDF. Have photoscore read it and see if it will save as a music xml.
