For a percussion staff, every time you open the "Edit Drumset" dialog, the instrument list resets to a descending alphabetical instrument order.
Please change this so that the list always defaults to ascending MIDI number order on opening.
Comments
"Last state" may be more appropriate
Wasn't this a very conscious choice to move to alphabetic ordering, as we got complaints that MIDI numbering order made no sense to most people?
Regardless of which we do by default, I do agree it would be nice to remember the state, at least for the duration of the session if not for the life of the drumset.
Bump
Controllable ordering largely solves my issues when creating a drum score.
In the Edit Drumset dialog have a 'Display Order By' field (store this value in the drumset XML file). Allow values of MIDI No / Note / Short Cut / Name (thus not breaking other peoples work flow) . You could also add a Ascending/Descending check box.
My work flow would be to edit and pre-pend all Names with a number to fix the ordering to group things around short cut keys. Then to input say a side stick would be two key presses - Snare shortcut / Up arrow. Similar for open high hat - HH shortcut / Up arrow. Toms - Mid Tom shortcut / Up or Down arrows etc.

I've added a hand edited drumset file as an example.
