Is there a more convincing snare drum brushes soundfont?
The three brushes drumsets sound very different from actual brushes, and it's hard to believe that such an important instrument has been neglected in this way.

Which MIDI pitches are using? I believe there should be samples of both a slap and tap as well as a swirl, all presumably sampled from real drums with real brushes. But of course, there is much subtlety to brush playing that cannot be well captured in standard MIDI will nothing but a start / stop / velocity to control the sound.
Probably there are other soundfonts you could find online with a wider variety of brush sounds, or where the specific sounds used for these might be more to your liking. Try a web search for "drum brush soundfont".

Midi pitches 37-39. They sound different, but nothing like a shh-shh sound that I want. Am I mixing up terminology? Also, is there a guide on how to install soundfonts?

I have been finding that sound.
It doesn't exist from the free soundfonts available in Internet.
