how to add different barline for a certain part again?
I think did this before, dunno I forgot it.
so what I mean is the vocal part has final barlines and the piano parts have the repeat barlines
(song: there's a girl in the heart of maryland)

Hide barlines in top staff, then add symbols (Symbols palette, 'Z' shortcut -> type "barline" in the search box)

good. though should I change the way it looks if I don't want the 2 notes in the voice part to repeat twice?

or maybe change the original format so the playback would make sense?
Unfortunately a trick that works in general (to use Ctrl while applying a barline applies it to that staff only), doesn't work for repeat barlines.
