Any update on this?
Have you check the private alpha or the latest nightly?
I think more info would be needed in order to really understand what is going on. I can't reproduce on command, but I've occasionally seen it get into a state like this on Linux. Seems to depend on whether I also have MuseScore 3 or other apps running, and rebooting fixes it.

Yes, I've tested many latest nightly builds since last year. Issue still persists as of today, the 29th May of 2022.

It's happening now with the latest build and I closed MuseScore 3.6.2 before opening 4.x. I has been always like this to me. I've rebooted the PC several times since I tested MS 4.x for the first time…
Seems likely to be some sort of compatibility issue with your specific OS/window manager and/or graphics drivers. I believe QML in general requires OpenGL support; you might need to do enable something manually on your system to get that working.
Issue apparently solved after upgrading to Ubuntu 22.04.1. Maybe it was related to the NVidia drives, which were also updated alongside. Close this issue?
