measure count help
I'm using MS4 and I have a question regarding the attached image. This piece is 4/4 time and the first measure seems to have a different count in the top than the bottom measures do. In MS4 can you have different counts in the measures? How would you do this?

I think it is a misprint in the score you are working from. It looks like the top stave has a missing dot on the quarter note with the fermata or a missing tied eighth note or eighth rest immediately after it. My guess would be a missing dot.

Ah, yes, supported by the position and the rest in the other staff
It is using a triplet and a grace note in the top staff
