Desktop Transposing
I am not able to transpose musescore scores on my desktop for windows. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this feature not supported? Transposing was the Main feature that I wanted from musescore.

How can we know as you dont tell us WHAT you are doing?

Good point!
What I'm doing is opening Musescore, opening a select music score (various) and then looking for the settings icon (not finding it) or something that will change the key. But there seems to be no way to change the key.
That's what I'm doing. Any suggestions?

I would
1) Use the help function and ask for "transpose"
2) Use the documentation and look for "transpose"
3) Enter "musescore transpose" into Google.
Starting with point 3 probably makes points 1 and 2 unnecessary, because Google practically overwhelms you with pages and pages of helpful links. These range from relevant forum questions to detailed tutorials and elaborately designed videos. Of course, there are also excerpts from the help section and the manual.
I always start by searching Google first, and I usually find very helpful answers very quickly. I wouldn't dream of clicking around in software that I'm unfamiliar with, where I don't even know if what I'm looking for exists in this form and, if so, how it is implemented.
That's what extremely helpful things like the internet and Google are for.

What don't you understand in the handbook: go to Tools > Transpose. (on the menu, in case you do not find it)
The search function in the new handbook works just fine.
See:

especially this section:

Did you follow the link in the first response? It's usually best to search the manual. Google search is fine if you must. But often comes up with incorrect or outdated results. Not that you should do it, but I have downloaded the manual because I like the search function of Acrobat better.

I have read all the suggestions in this forum and none of it works. One person wrote "Google it"; not helpful at all. On my scores (on my desktop pc anyway) there is no Tools, no Settings etc. Perhaps there is a bug in my PC? I've looked over the manual, and the settings referred to there cannot be found.
I'm giving up. Thanks, everyone.

If you don't find those menus, you don't have MuseScore Studio.

Try posting a screenshot of what you do have. Include a detailed description of how you reached that image. It is definitely possible--make that "extremely easy"--to transpose scores in MuseScore Studio.

How could you open a score without main menu? How could you open the manual without main menu? As Hutch wrote, please show us a screenshot of your software.
