Bass guitar linked staff problems with tab
Hi,
I wrote the notes in the standard piano bass-clef. I then changed the instrument to bass guitar.
Next, I created a linked staff to get bass-tabs.
I've also changed staff properties to use half-step-down alternative tuning.
I've added a screenshot of what I get. The notes in the tab are wrong and I can't move them.
Great if somebody can point me in the right direction!
Thanks

Most probably wrong transposition. Bass Guitar transposes down an octave, the piano bass clef does not

Hi, I have chosen bass guitar as the instrument both on the bass-clef, and tab.
Is there something else I am missing?
Thanks.

Did you set the correct transposition too?
Without seeing the actual score this is all guesswork
The acutal score almost always help more than a picture, then we can do better than just guess. But if I had to guess, I'd say you got one (or three) of the octaves wrong when setting up your alternate tuning.

I've attached the score. Only the first measure is in the right octave. The other measures need fixing after I switched from bass-piano clef to a bass guitar.
Appreciate the help!

The problem is that you marked all of the strings open. That's what the check mark to the left of the string name is for. Open strings can have no fret positions assigned to them.
