Sound Does Not Play
When I launch Musescore, I cannot get it to play. I have tried quitting the program and starting it back up again but I cannot get it to work. I had an older version when the problem first occurred so I updated to 2.3 thinking that the problem would be fixed. It worked momentarily and is inconsistent on when it will play.

What Operating system? Have you tried to revert to factory settings?
same problem, Sound stopped working yesterday on th2 2.2. version. I just upgraded to latest version to no avail. 0Sound works well for other thing like u tube or skype. In Musescore, I can hear the notes as I enter them but there is no sound during playback. Windows 10 on Surface Pro 3.

Open the synthesizer (under the view menu) and click the Add button so you can click a sound font. This will hopefully fix it.

Thank you for the help. It worked for about 30 minutes, but now it is back to no sound. The play button shows that it is supposed to play, but there is no sound. There is also no sound when I plug in new notes. I am confused.
Do you see a soundfont loaded when you go to View / Synthesizer? Both in the Fluid and Zerberus tabs, or just one of them? Are you trying to use the new MDL sounds? These require you have the MDL soundfonts loaded, which they are by default if you install that extension.
If you continue to have trouble, please attach your score and tell us which soundfont you have loaded.
