When selecting a range of notes, the context menu includes the function 'Delete selected measures'.
The associated action invokes the same code as 'Timewise Delete'.
For cosistency and maintenance reasons the menu should use the proper 'Timewise Delete' action instead.

We're trying to get rid of that confusing name.
And that menu item, while indeed using the same code, only works on measures.

Please don't just claim that to be the case, try it. I just did, again, to verify: Only if one or more complete measures are selected that entry is in the right-click menu, if your selection contains a partial measure it does not.

Maybe it should though, but that is an entirely different issue then

I was sure I had the facts right, so I tried it again. I found that it is not the selection that determines if the option is available, it depends where you click. Right-click an empty space in the measure, and the option is always available, Just as it was in version 2.
Here is an example of the menu with only a single note selected.

But the real issue is not when the function is available, rather if the current design should be changed or not.
I have posted a more deatailed discussion of that in Improve Delete measure

BTW. This Issue was posted as a Suggestion, not a bug, so I don't think you should just dismiss it saying "as designed".
