Hello Support Team,
I enjoy using the program Musescore. This is my first time ever using notation software, however, since I have updated to version to 3.0 from 2.3.2 I am now having issues saving files directly to my laptop. When I try to save, the program informs me that the directory does not exist. I am currently using windows 10 as the operating system.
My current work around is to save the file to a flash drive.
Thank you for the awesome product and I look forward to the solution.

What directory are you trying to save to?
c:\users\coryf\desktop\mus comp\name of file
So, does that folder exist? What happens if you try to save to another folder on the same drive, like in your Documents folder? The default, for instance, is Documents/MuseScore3/Scores.
Are you using OneDrive to sync that folder? See https://musescore.org/en/node/271586#comment-895062 for a possible caveat with that
This directory does exist. I have tried to save to the default and I get the same error. The error also says check the file name. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. I also have the program running as an administrator for windows 10.
Again: Are you using OneDrive to sync that folder?
Does a reboot fix it?

Support Team,
This was my solution for the directory issue after reading a post from the other gentleman who posted on my support question. I did not have to turn of windows defender though. I just needed to add it the controlled folder access list. I think this is because of the software not publishing "where it is from". Here are the steps I used.
Thanks for the help.
