Can't make D.C al Fine work as intended

• Mar 23, 2019 - 17:19

I don't know why but whatever I do, Fine is ignored regardless. Here is my score:

Am I doing something wrong or is it bugged ?

AFAIK it isn't common in music notation to add a Fine to a Volta 1. And play repeats means play repeats (the first an the second volta).
So indeed you've to add D.S. al coda, a "to coda" and a measure with a coda sign at the end of your score.

(Not sure, but maybe I saw a similar discussion some time ago to implement it)

Hi I see you a lot when i'm looking up this particular problem so perhaps you can help me. You see i'm writing a score for the song "Hey Look Ma, I made It" by Panic at The Disco. I'm trying shorten it too make it easier to fit in a flip folder. So I make use of the D.S. al Fine and the segno sign because I want to jump from the middle of my piece towards the ending for a different phrase. But it doesn't seem to work, I don't want to post my work because I don't own the rights to the song and don't really understand how that works. But the D.S al Fine sign is supposed to happen the second time around after a repeat sign and it would go to segno which starts at the end of the end repeat sign. The repeat signs seem to work perfectly, but the fine and segno don't work at all so I cant hear what the results should sound like. Ant idea on how to fix that? Hopefully you can see what im talking about
