I just found that MuseScore has an app in Microsoft Store. I installed it for a try. It works very well and its version is 3, not 2. It should deserve to be called MuseScore instead of MuseScore 2.

Or MuseScore 3. Actually I'd like to see both, MuseScore 2 and MuseScore 3 in the Windows store. But if only one version is possible, the number should get dropped indeed

If I'm not mistaken, I had MS2 installed on a Windows machine, and it upgraded to MS3 automatically, to my surprise. I noticed the entry on the store was still labelled 2.

Only one version (the latest) is possible.

What's great with Microsoft Store is that apps will get upgraded automatically. Exactly the same as in Google Play (Store) and Apple Store.

Personally I install Store-enabled app if it exists. Other examples are Inkscape, IrfanView.

There are 3 packages under "MuseScore" label. 2.3.2, 3.0.5 32-bit and 3.0.5 64-bit.
MStore automatically chooses the one which fits the user's machine settings better.

Why don't you like "MuseScore 3" as a full name of the application? "MuseScore" is a brand which might be related to the .com website or mobile apps. "MuseScore 3" is something we use here and there to speak about the editor itself.

If MStore may chose MuseScore 2.3.2, that "MuseScore 3" surely is the wrong label. MuseScore is the edit, 3 is the version. If there is only one there is no need, if there are more than one it is even wrong
