3.1 prerelease -- looks great
Using the 3.1 Mac nightly for most of the day, aware of the selection change, it is a real pleasure -- the behavior of auto-place and manual move feels 200% right ....

Thanks, I think this is a winner too :-) This was the result of a lot of hard work and extremely valuable suggestions and feedback from users. As I said on the issue thread that led to this design, it takes the strong foundation of what Werner put into place for 3.0 and then goes the next step in providing more control over the results. I think people will be extremely pleased!

Yes, thank you to all who are working to produce. 3.1! I am using Beta 2 almost exclusively now, and have not had a single crash since installation. Though there are still areas for improvement, it is a giant leap forward from the initial 3.0 release.
