Musescore composing on handheld platforms? (Android, iPhone, etc)
Is there some way we could have a fully functioning for Android?
There is a program called Musescore that works on Android -- but I don't think it composes.
Yes, of course, the interface is going to be awkward without the 104-key keyboard of a PC. But then again, using the alphabet-based keyboard is itself awkward at first.
Thank you for your consideration.

Musescore's mobile app only lets you view and play your files. There are other apps that are designed to compose on a mobile device. I'm fond of Maestro on Android...it's a weell-constructed mulrti-staff composer. But, it doesn't export files as MusicXML. However, the exported midi files can be opened in Musescore for improved editing.
Hopefully, Musescore Mobile will eventually have composing capabilities...at least basic ones. In the meantime, I've been making excellent multi-part compositions on Maestro, which is a fully-featured app that works great on my tablet. The greatest benefit is that I'm able to compose music anywhere, on-the-fly, and then export to Musescore, later on.

A lot. But nothing as far as MuseScore editing capabilities on iOS or Android are concerned.
So the old FAQ still applies: https://musescore.org/en/faq#faq-23633
