Salamander Grand piano notes do not sound correctly
I've finally managed to install and load the Salamander Grand Piano SFZ into the synthesizer, and I've changed the appropriate Mixer settings, but after about 2 bars, seemingly random notes in the piano turn into...I can't quite tell. Drums, maybe? But when I select the notes individually they sound right. Can someone please give me an idea of what is going on here?

Thank you very much! That solved the problem and it sounds great! (Still can't figure out why Musescore is using over 1.7GB of memory, but maybe that's for another forum topic.)

You mean, after adding Salamander? Can't see why that would be surprising.

I suppose I'm not used to a single program taking up almost all my memory. I have four sf2s installed and one sfz. Is there no way to make it so Musescore doesn't use so much memory?

Sure there is: use less and smaller soundfont

A quick look at the Soundfonts page in Handbook tells me that Salamander is up to 1.9 GB in size. So indeed, load a soundfont that big and you'll potentially have a big memory footprint.
There are some smaller versions of the Salamander Grand available including a 592mb and 237mb versions here https://sites.google.com/site/soundfonts4u/
