Slur continues to be moved after leaving edit mode from Note Entry

1) Create measure with notes and give a slur between two notes
2) Select slur, move it around a bit with the arrow keys
3) Press "N"
The user looks to be in note entry mode
However, Press right and instead of going to the next chord/rest, the previously selected slur gets moved. Most definitely undesirable behavior: all previous selection to the slur should be cleared when entering into note entry, even if directly from selecting a slur. Maybe this also applies to other lines? Either way, I consider this a major bug

I agree the selection should be cleared, but I'd disagree as to severity. This sequence - entering note input immediately after adjusting a slur but failing to press Esc first - would be a rare operation for most people, and the workaround is so obvious and easy. Still, would probably be a two line fix if someone feels like giving it a shot...

Understood, but also let it be known that merely "selecting" a slur means it demands escapement before going into note-entry, else it gives false sense of "normal note entry" even though arrows will still move a slur around. In that sense, It feels like "in-between" minor and major to me. I'm very much used to going into note-entry directly after selecting a staff-text for example or a crescendo, and slurs are no different in that respect.
Edit: Then again, most of the time a user will enter a note directly after going into note-entry rather than using the right/left arrows, so the combination of this plus using the arrows is where it definitely makes sense to say this is a 'odd' use case, and one of the reasons why I'm not sure I ever ran into this before. Thing is, I often go into note entry for the sake of seeing my position since it is much clearer to the eyes what with the blue highlighting under certain zoom levels.
