New install of MuseScore 2.0.3 No sound on playback. Sound works on other applications on PC. Have checked View Synthesiser and FluidR3Mono_GM.sf3 is present. No sound on playback though. Any advice welcome.

Sorry this is a friend's Toshiba Satellite Pro C850-1HE running Windows 10. I think problem started when Musescore 2.0.3 was removed and reinstalled. At this point playback sound did not work.
I run Musescore 2.0.2 in Ubuntu 16.04 without any problems. I can run the windows 10 installer under Wine in Linux and it works fine. But not in Windows 10 on the Toshiba.
I tried the Portable version installer and the sound works on the Toshiba laptop. I guess this will have to do for now. Still leaves a problem with Windows 10 installer on the Toshiba laptop. I see that there are many others experiencing this problem.
While many others have experienced this problem, it's very rare that a factory revert fails to solve it, and it's interesting that the portable version works while the Windows installer version doesn't.
Could you check if there's any difference in the I/O section of MuseScore's Preferences between the two versions?
Checked Preferences I/O Both MuseScore 2.0.3 and MuseScore Portable identical. PortAudio checked ; API: MME ; Device: Microsoft Sound Mapper - Output ; Remember last connection(s) checked ; everything else blank. Did Revert to Factory settings again to make sure.
