Add a title page at the beginning?
Is there a built-in way to add a title page as the first page? I managed by creating a vertical frame and filling it with an image copy/pasted in from Powerpoint, but this is a little roundabout.
Something possible within "Album..." ?
(My reason - having the score proper start on page 2 means that 2 pages are visible when printed recto-verso and ring-bound together. A decorative font title page having some standard text place-holders (title, author, ... notes...) would be useful).

The vertical frame is the way to go, you may also apply a page break to it, so you don't need to enlarge it to push the staves onto the naxt page
The better way to do this is to create your title page in a word-processing or typography program, and export that to PDF. Then use a PDF editor to combine the PDF export of the music with the title page, all in a single document. (This method also enables you to place blank pages, back-ads, and front or back matter in the score wherever those elements might be needed or wanted.)
MuseScore's text typesetting capacities are pretty basic. While you could, with patience and ingenuity, create reasonable-looking title pages, etc., in text frames, it is much easier to do that sort of thing in program designed specifically for that kind of work.

Indeed, adding a frame at the front seems to be about the only practical way to go.
If anyone's interested, in the meantime I did some further experiments and made a "template" title page in Powerpoint (easy to format text, add illustrations or other decoration), then:
- "select all", and "copy" to clipboard
- "Paste" as a graphic item (device independent bitmap)
- Copy the graphic item again,
- Go into MuseScore and "paste" this graphic into the frame to make it the cover page.
Haven't got the sizing exactly right yet (it comes out too small to fill the frame / page - see attached) but it's close enough for now.
That way the title page is saved along with the score, without needing to change it again if anything needs editing subsequently.

@AlunF, hint (for the print): Enter another frame for the back of the cover. The first page of music will be the n ° 3 (to the right).
Regarding "starting on page 2" and printing, if I understand correctly, you may want to check out Layout > Page Settings... > First page number.

I don't think the actual page number is what concerns him; he appears to want to start his score with a two-page spread so as to save the conductor or continuo player a page-turn.
