It should be noted that the sidebar pane can be resized in the nightlies currently, and hopefully a horizontal scroll bar is coming soon for when it's too narrow: #113806: Allow horizontal scroll bar in windows' sidebars, including Style dialogs and Master Palette
No longer needed, as horizontal scroll bar has been added to left-hand panel for 3.0.
