There was a pizzicato in the old version musescore, but I can't find it in the new version - 2.0.3
I can't find the pizzicato! Can someone shows me where the pizzicato is or there isn't a pizzicato at all, and I should use staccato for the violins!

For example, if you have a violin instrument there is the regular (arco), pizzicato, and tremolo sections available. You will see these in the mixer for further sound configuration. If you want to switch to pizzicato or tremolo, create a staff text (ctrl+t) and type pizz. or whatever you prefer. Right click it and go into Staff Text Properties. There you will be given the option to change from normal to pizzicato or tremolo.

Make sure to select the proper voice and then select pizzicato. When you want to go back to arco/normal or tremolo, make another text and do the same but make sure to select normal from the dropdown menu.

P.S. If you've an editable palette, I advise to ctrl+shift+drag the resulting instruction into it along with an arco and a tremolo after you've edited their settings. You can then apply them easily without having to configure them afterwards for easier switching.

Hey, nice idea. I didn't even know about the how-to sections. Seems like screen captures can give a quick idea better than text sometimes since the community is international/multi-lingual. I notice that some how-to pages have a flash-requirement: .gif files seem to be the way to go in eliminating the need for this.

The how-tos are rather hidden in the website interface, and I'm not sure whether that's a consequence or a cause of their being mostly out-of-date. The majority apply to MuseScore 1 (https://musescore.org/en/node/24622, for example).
A few do have embedded YouTube videos (https://musescore.org/en/node/11191, for example), and apparently MuseScore.org's YouTube player uses Flash. If you can replace them with GIFs, and while at it correct them to apply to MuseScore 2, go for it!

Could you restate the question, please?
For the record, none of this has changed in any significant way from any previous version to my knowledge. "pizz" has always been text you need need to create manually via staff text, just as pretty much all other text, as far as I can recall.
BTW, looks from your video like you are in the "Basic" workspace. You'll find more symbols available if you switch to "Advanced" using the control at the bottom of the palette. but still, there is not an never has been a "pizz" marking built in to the palette, unless maybe you mean some sort of special articulation marking to be used for individual notes, as opposed to the standard text indication.

Yeah, there is a special articulation for the snap pizzicato under Symbols of the Master Palette.

I don't understand why there's this and the left-handed pizzicato symbol for individual notes, but there is not a standardized notation for regular individual pizzicato, unless I'm mistaken. Oh well.
