Same problem, but this only happens when trying to copy and paste the last eight measures at the end of the attached score. Works as expected when copy/pasting the last seven, but crashes with no message when copying the last eight measures.
It hangs when I attempt to copy/paste parts of the example score (Promenade) into a blank one (probably because it changes time signatures).
