Add the possibility to set a proxy for musescore connect.
I am beyond a proxy and I am not able to use musescore connect.
Maybe a tab should be added in the preference dialog so as to set the proxy.

I'ld like to second this request. In my case it's a HTTP proxy (and it will be in most cases, socks is rarely implemented)

Can I add a +1 to this please, I'm also behind an HTTP proxy and lose out on the network functionality. It should be a very simple implementation.

In 060f5ae7a7 , I added a flag to use the system proxy. Resource manager and MuseScore connect should pick it up. Since I don't have a proxy at home, I'm not able to test further. Feedback welcome.

Thanks for the quick response. It works!
I experienced only one minor glitch: when I click the connect button, a firefox tab opens with the address: qrc:/#
and a message saying:

The address wasn't understood

Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (qrc) isn't associated with any program.

Not sure if this is a bug or my firefox settings.
I tried the nightly build: mscore-2013-10-02-21-00-d6be9b1.tar.bz2

This is the button on the "MuseScore Connect" panel. It appears when connecting for the first time, later on if the system is connected to the internet, there is no issue. Only if the computer is disconnected from the internet, a blue button with the label "Retry" appears in the MuseScore Connect panel and clicking this can reproduce the firefox issue.
But this is a corner case and the original issue is fixed.
