Load Error & File corrupted error message provides link to "How to fix a score that contains corruptions"

• Jun 17, 2017 - 19:47

Example of the error message detail (for those that have never seen it):

Measure 44 Staff 6 incomplete. Expected: 4/4; Found: 9/8

I have gotten these errors for scores exported by older versions of Sibelius.
What would help A LOT in troubleshooting the error, is putting the troubleshooting steps / aid easily accessible to users when they get the error message.

Suggestion: add a button, e.g. [Check Online Help] / [Check Online] which links to
How to fix a score that contains corruptions ,
between [Show Details...] and [Ignore] buttons.

After sleeping on this, the following button text makes more sense to me.
[Online Help]

MuseScore coders, I assume this is not an inordinate amount of effort to do (or at least I hope it is not). How does one go about getting this slotted? More votes / +1s?

If there area other dialog boxes like this (where a web page has relevant bearing on an error or other informational message), I would suggest a button&link to the relevant web page be added. The site / handboo etc has all this wealth of knowledge , which we expect users to find themselves, if they know were to look. Why not make it a little bit easier to find?

I definitely like the idea, only complication to me is making sure the info remains in the same place as the site continues to develop. Right now we have a little-known (?) context help mechanism - hit F1 with mouse over something in MuseScore, and it sends you to web site to get help on that object. Probably this is the same mechanism to use here as well, but without the need to hit F1.
