Can I put “Lines” from the palate into the clef of the measure?

• Jul 14, 2017 - 23:17

It’s crowded on this one-page treble score, but it will work, I believe.
The “Lines” I got from the palates seem to want to be where
The lyrics (from one clef up) should be (and are).
Those “Lines” would be readable well enough if they were in the clef,
but they do mess up reading of the lyrics.
Is there a way to make them be partially or wholly within the treble clef?

There is an abundance of ways to keep the lines from crashing with the lyrics. You can move the lines down. Double click the line and click the middle square to use the arrows, or simply drag it without double clicking first. There are spacers that will move a single staff down. These are located in the Breaks and spacers palette. You can use Style->General->page and adjust the staff distance for all staves.

If you just want to move a line, you can double-click it and drag it. You can then put it wherever you like. You can also control the default position of many elements using Style / General. If you attach your score, we can see in more detail what you are dealing with and thus offer better help.
