Drums do not play as midi file

• Nov 20, 2013 - 01:28

The drum track in my score works as a musescore file, but when converted to a midi file does not. In a piece with 6 voices, all the other voices do work in both forms. A separate version of the drum track does not work as a midi file either. Any suggestions?

We need more information.

Which OS?
Which Musescore version?

What software is being used to play back the generated SMF?

It would also help to attach your score (the mscz file not an image) for examination.

I don't know much about MIDI, but the reason the endings don't play right is they weren't entered right. looks like you used the mosue maybe to extend the line, but you have to useShift and the arrow keys as described in Line .

i'm guessing the MIDI issue has something to do with percussion parts needing to play on MIDI channel 10 in most players.

The percussion parts are correctly assigned to channel 10.

Anvil Studio will not play the exported MIDI file, although it will open it.

Sonar X2 will not even open it.

So something has gone wrong with MuseScore's MIDI export possibly because of the mistake in the endings.

Maybe one of the programming team could take a look?
