Problem with Line breaks in Issue tracker?

A png of the edit screen looks like this:
A line break has been inserted in the Edit screen , but it is not showing up when saved.

Most likely "by design". Forums now feature PHP Markdown. Add 2 or more spaces to get a line break.
2 or more spaces? That didn't do it for me, just 2 or more linefeeds.
If this is by design I'd rather have it changed.

end a line with two or more spaces, then type return
