Adding a partial barré which doesn't go all the way to the 1st string
Hello.
This is my first post in this forum as I am doing my first attempts at using MuseScore.
I am trying to creat a partial barré in a fretboard chord diagram.
I have found out how to make a barré which starts in a different string than the 6th, but then it goes all the way to the first string.
I don't find out how to create a partial barré from, i.e., the 4th to the 2nd string.
Is there a way to do it ?

Thank you very much.

Currently, there is no way to achieve this.
But, from the palette Arpeggios & Glissandos, you can use the arpeggio in a bracket shape (don't forget to disable the playback in Inspector)
This kind of notation is not uncommon in the guitar repertoire (and add or not, according your wish, the fret position, in ordinary text)

And so, welcome among us :)

Came here for this! Thank you - as nice as the guitar palette is, I would very much like to have this there, and we do need keyboard shortcuts for moving between notes and adding fingerings! That would make things a lots more efficient.

Already available, see in the handbook, Guitar chapter: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/fingering
Nevertheless, from memory, the method is not clearly exposed. If wished, attach a .mscz file (or some measures of it), I can show you with a GIF how to do (I am guitarist...)

Select a fretboard diagram in the score.
In Properties>Fretboard Diagram, with the Barré option checked/selected, and in the Properties' fretboard diagram:
• click the leftmost string that you want included in the bar
• then, simply click the rightmost string you want in the bar
