adding copyright as footer

• Mar 29, 2018 - 14:56

I have arranged a movement of a symphony for string sextet and want to add copyright information at the bottom of the first page (only) of my score and each of my parts.
I have tried repeatedly in various ways to use the style/general/headers and footers dialog box and its macros to do this without success. Finally, I created this in Word: 'Copyright © Keith Lawrence 2018' and pasted it into the 'odd/middle' box. This was successful however the copyright footer now appears on every odd numbered page. I want it only on the first page.
Please help with this work-around or how to use the macros.
Thank you.
Keith Lawrence

If you have a cover page preceding the score, a workaround is to simply add Staff Text over any stave, then drag it, centered, to the bottom of the page. Some publishers need the copyright "in the first page of the music" and this covers the case of a cover page preceding the actual score.

I would like to add that if you change the first page number in the Page Settings menu, the "show copyright only on first page" should follow the page with the number 1.

Current behaviour: the setting "show copyright only on first page" will always show the copyright in the first "physical" page.

Expected behaviour: the setting "show copyright only on first page" follow the page numbered as 1 even when you change it from the Page Settings menu.

I recommend to add a text frame to the end of page 1.
You can achieve this by applying the page-break to the text-frame itself
(rather than to the last bar of page 1).

Two of the largest sheetmusic publishers
sheetmusicplus.com and sheetmusicdirec.com
require the copyright to appear on the first page (only).
For that purpose the copyright function of muse score is not useful,
but the text-frame get's the job done.

It would agree though that a dedicated macro in muse score,
which creates a copyright on the bottom of the first page only, would be super handy.

Copyrights can become very long, so I think, it's not convenient
to have them on every page by default. This for example is the copyright for
