The Start Center dialog crashes Musescore in Pop_OS (Ubuntu 17.10). After the crash, I can re-open MuseScore and go to Edit > Preferences and uncheck "Show start center" and continue to have a healthy session. If I go to the View menu and click "Start Center" this will trigger a crash again.

Someone else reported this same issue. I don't remember if there was a bug report done on it. Are you really using version 2.1? Which operating system? Will you upgrade to 2.2 and see if the issue continues?

I installed MuseScore 2.1.0 from the Ubuntu repository. I am running Pop_OS (the Ubuntu operating system from System76... which is Ubuntu 17.10). I would be willing to upgrade to version 2.2 if there is a PPA available or if there is a debian install file available. I tried to install a flatpak but it looked as if that version was 2.1.0.

It will probably be a few days before all of the Linux versions get packaged.
