triplets

I am trying to enter "They Can't Take That Away From Me", to get the tab version. The music is in 4:4 time but some bars have two triplets of minims in. I can get one triplet, but I have tried everything to get the second one in with no success. Is there any way to get the second triplet in?

Modify the measure to fir 8 quarters, right click measure properties, actual duration
Unless you really mean tremolos rather than triplets?

Triplets of minims (half notes) take up four beats, so I don't see how you could be expecting two sets of them in a single 4/4 bar unless perhaps they are in different voices (one stems up, the other occurring simultaneously but stems down). Or maybe they are really crotchet (quarter note) triplets, which take only two beats? Maybe attach a picture of what you think it is supposed to look like.

If I understand well (I hope):

1) Get two half rests (instead of a whole rest) in your measure
2) Select the first half rest -> menu "Notes" -> Tuplets -> Other
3) Choose ratio 3:1 -> Ok
4) Enter the three half notes

For the second triplet, repeat the same steps with the second half rest (or, before, and simpler, select the first triplet, and copy-paste or Repeat with R key)
