Exported audio seems unaffected, but I would check for impurities incase.
The same noise is in the exported mp3. I suspect this sound is in the soundfont, 'cause the noise sound is different from what we had in similar issues with the noise.
I can't hear it, unless we are using different encoders (can you try WAV?).
Anyway, it's good you can at least reproduce it.
By the way, I don't know how long this issue has existed, so the 2.2 tag maybe wrong.
Confirmed, a faint pop near the end of the 2 whole notes (on beat 4 basically). In 2.3 RC (2.2.9) and a WAV and MP3 export on Windows and also on musescore.com (so Linux). Apparently by far not as bad as on Mac
Already in 2.1 and 2.0.3, probably even earlier
Thanks Jojo.
Although faint popping can be heard and in the audio export of Mac, there is an additional kind on the latter platform (built-in playback), which sounds worse. Sometimes there's one pop, but adding an empty bar at the start means there's two (pops) - see the attached sample (note: I amplified 'MuseScore' for audibility).
Using MuseScore 2.3 Nightly Build 9aa4bb2 - Mac 10.11.6.
Chiffer Lead (Keyboard) seems to be the only affected sound (tried the others).
This might warrant a title change?
