How can I add a "half note = dotted half note" as a graphic instruction.
I have a tune which switches from 4/4 to 3/4 and back. The 3/4 bar is equivalent to 2 beats of the 4/4 time.
I have played many charts where there is a graphic showing a 1/2 note - a dotted 1/2 note and reverse.
How can I do that in MS?
Thanks,

Hi Franz,
I used the special character set and was able to add the half note. However I cannot see a dotted half, and am unsure how to add the "=" and the dotted half as you did.

note/space/=/note/space/dot (by F2)
the symbol = is above zero on the keyboard (at least here)

I use two tempo marks in an unused area and add a 1/2 note tempo and a dotted 1/2 note. In my current project I actually have a workspace score since I have so many differrent notes = notes and a large score. I copy the note that goes on the right and paste it in place of the 80. If the tempo changes, I copy all of this text into a tempo text, uncheck the follow text option and adjust the BMP in the inspector. If the tempo stays the same, I put it in a system text and change the text style to Tempo in the inspector.
If you prefer an actual graphic then use the techniques used in https://musescore.org/en/node/266325.

Shoichi's method of using F2 to find the right note also works in tempo text.
Excellent. Thanks Franz and Mike320.
