Can't Read File
I saved my score and shut down my computer and when I restarted and tried to open the piece I only get the message "cannot read file".

The file is filled with a bunch of nothing so it cannot be recovered. Try https://musescore.org/en/node/52116 to see if you can retrieve a backup.
