Tested with self built MuseScore on OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (32-bit): 3.0.0, revision: 44304ca

  1. Open attached score
  2. Go to measure 80
    Result: quarter notes are too close so that the ledger lines interfere.

The spacing works as expected as far as i tested. Maybe the minNoteDistance is too small in 3.x (calculation is different?). When i change the style value Measure->minNoteDistance from 0.25 to 0.8 it looks similar in layout to 2.x.
