Add a user interface for a Timewise input mode
Currently it is possible to insert notes into measures increasing the length of the measure — which can be named as "Timewise input" as the opposite action for Timewise delete. While this is possible to do via keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+mouse click or Ctrl+Shift+(letter)) it should be possible to do this via a graphical user interface. The suggestion is to add a Timewise input mode as a separate Note input mode available in the user interface. This feature request is filed for this task.

My first thought was to introduce timewise input to allow users to enter timeless music without special movements. After discussions we had last week, I'm not sure this solution is as great as it seemed to be. New note input will lead to more questions and inconsistent scores created by users who don't clearly understand how timewise input (and especially delete) works.
