Project
The following sequence results in an empty sidepanel that takes up too much space.
- Open Inspector and drag to make it wide enough to show all controls.
- Close score using X on the window.
- Open MuseScore
- Close Inspector
Usually when Inspector is closed the sidepanel also collapse, but this does not happen here.

This does not seem to be a problem on macOS, but I can reproduce this on Windows. Apparently, if the ScoreView has not been resized since starting MuseScore, it will not resize itself when any of the open panels are closed. The workaround for now is to resize any panel that is adjacent to the ScoreView. This will cause the ScoreView to resize itself.
Apperas to be fixed in 3.0.1.
