In all Formats -> Styles, Text Styles, Inspector, all font sizes are displayed as Staff Spatium (sp)
The font size would be displayed as Points (pt)
Only the Figured Bass style display the font size in points.
OS: Windows 7 SP 1 (6.1), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.0.4013, revision: 94e01a8

(edited) this appears to be a text display issue only. The numbers seem to be in points, but the dialog is displaying "sp" instead of "pt" as the suffix for the numeric value. 12sp versus 12pt.
Indeed, only a display issue, but could be confusing for any user.
