placing dynamics requires dragging the dynamic directly on top of the note rather than getting near it like in Musescore 2. The dynamics will also collide with notes that are 3 lines bellow the staff.

double click is the far easier method (in 2.x and 3.0)
Very strange, the issue tracker reported a response before this one, but I don't see it.
I don't see this as a problem using OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.0.4346, revision: a9203cb. Dragging seems to work OK and there is no collision with a C below middle C on the staff. The user was probably in Continuous view.
Edit: Even Stranger. Now that I posted my reply, Jojo's reply is visible. I had clicked the title expecting a reply, then the "1 New" under replies, but Jojo's reply wasn't displayed until I posted my reply.
