The score I made this on is attached. I'll explain what I did. To make it easier to follow I suggest that you select the measures in the right hand.
All of the blue notes I entered into voice 1. The green notes and rests I entered into voice 2 like they are on the top staff (measure 5 show what the first measure looks like before you move notes or add tremolos. Add tremolos from the tremolo palette by selecting the first note in the tremolo and double clicking the tremolo with no line through it with the correct number of bars. Finally, the notes that look like they are in the left hand are moved by selecting them and pressing ctrl+shift+down arrow. The extra rests I made invisible by selecting it and pressing v. It won't print, but if you don't want to see it select the View menu and click "Show Invisible" to toggle its visibility. I also selected the rests in the left hand of the first measure and moved them down with the arrow key.

Let me know if there's something I didn't cover.

Can't we make the tremolo upon the dotted minims a beam, just like the picture does? Is creating something like that not implemented in MuseScore yet?

No, MuseScore doesn't support this 200+ years old method. The modern method is far better readable too.

The modern method is ugly, I much prefer the unreadable 200 year old version that was used less than 100 years ago and makes perfect sense.

Agreed. At least it should be supported regardless of users' preference.

So not regardless ;-)

Hmmm? I mean, maybe 99 out of 100 prefer the modern style, but even if that's true, we still need to make the ancient style supported.

But with regards to the users preferences, not regardless

You're a user, you don't want it. Regardless of that it should be supported.

I never said that I don't want it. Just that I regard the modern method better readable

If you understand it in this way, then yes, as long as there're still people who prefer the old style, it should be supported ;-)
