When entering notes with the on-screen keyboard, in musescore 2 I would hold the Shift key down and press another note and it would add that note to the chord that was selected. On musescore 3, I tried this, but holding down the shift key did nothing - it added a note to the next beat!

Confirmed; that's quite unfortunate. Meanwhile workaround is to use mouse or computer keyboard I guess.

No, this means that when 3.0 comes out in about 2 days time, it will (probably) be fixed.
