I don't seem to see what you seem to be seeing.
Do you maybe have antialiasing disabled in Edit>Prefences>Canvas?
This issue has been solved. Probably needed, if I recall, to revert to factory settings first.
It only happens if the custom workspace has all the options ticked in the View > Workspaces > Edit window.
