I think the original issue report is correct, in that MS 3.0 doesn't work like MS 2.3.2.
In MS 3.0.5, I can only extend a bracket across extra staves by dragging the bottom anchor with the mouse.
In MS 2.3.2, I always used Ctrl+DownArrow to extend a bracket.
Please restore the original method of using Ctrl+DownArrow. We shouldn't be forced to use the mouse...
It's a valid request, but let's make sure the OP isn't experiencing some other problem. If we don't hear back with more details in a few days, we can change the title/status of this.
FWIW, normally I am in full agreement that everything should be doable without the mouse. However, even if we allowed the keybaord to do the drag, you'd still need the mouse to add the bracket in the first place as well as to get bracket into edit mode, no?

Yes, but that problem will surely be solved as part of the accessibility initiatives e.g. partnership with the RNIB in the UK? Accessing items in the Palettes will eventually be made easier for disabled and blind users. So let's not take a step backwards from 2.3.2 where using Ctrl+DownArrow to extend a bracket was perfectly feasible.

They do for me, so sample score and steps to reproduce needed
Are invisible staves involved?
like #102586: Bracket can't be extended to end on staff if next staff is invisible?
