Hi,
I'm experimenting the 3.0.0 version and am no more able to drag barlines between staves. I can extend the barline between staves but the top of the barline obstinately refuses to move.
I've tried to drag, shift-drag, ctrl-drag.
I use the Linux appimage version.
When I open V2 scores with mensurstirtch, they display correctly.

I often get this effect when I'm dragging barlines. In some bars the barline connects to all systems but not everywhere.
@user13... Do you have invisible staves in your score? I've noticed problems with this if there are invisible staves.
I believe this is by design, and that the way to make this happen is to extend the one above downward instead. Does beg the question as to why the handle is there though. And I don't see an obvious reason we couldn't choose to support this anyhow even given the internal implementation.
I propose dragging up be interpreted as setting "Span to next staff" for the previous visible staff (and any other invisible staves between). Worth looking at drag down behavior to see if that's how we handle invisible / hidden staves, and possibly update that code as well (or use it as a model if it does something smarter, not sure what that would be)
For the record, the create the mensurstrich notation in MsueScore 3, use the span from / to field in the Inspector, and the "Set as staff default" button. To staff should be set to span to next staff, and span from 8 to 0. Bottom staff should span from 0 to -8.
