Musescore 3 has worked fine on the Microsoft Surface Book (Windows 10 laptop), up until version 3.02. Now there is no response to the pen (except the "right-click" operation). This is very strange, because it works fine with the trackpad and how would MS distinguish what kind of 'mouse' hardware is being used ? I have uninstalled and re-installed numerous times, and the results are 100% consistent: The problem appears in versions 3.03, 3.04, and 3.05. My work-around is to re-install 3.0.2 on the laptop, while continuing to update on my desktop PC. I will continue to test every new version on the laptop, of course.

One possibly relevant change might be Qt 5.9 vs 5.12

Thanks ! Do you know if there is some lower-level way to test the various Qt releases on my hardware ? Maybe a small demo app ? Should I try to contact the Qt project directly ?

Wild guess: might #285464: Musescore 3.0.4 Accessibility drawback be related?
Fixed in v 3.1, except for the ABC import plugin (just created Issue #290566)
or #290566: ABC import does not respond to Stylus on Microsoft Surface Book
Possibly relevant change: Qt 5.12.1 to 5.12.2
