At the end of the score (especially), I click on a measure (for instance, 30 out of 40) and hit Play. The music jumps to a random point after my start point and plays just one beat.
I press SPACE, reclick the point where I want to start playback, repeat the same problem, sometimes at a different place.
Move the playback point to the left a few measures, and it might work. Might now.
The word "Might" should not happen in a computer!

You still believe in computers to be deterministic? Come on, get real :-)

OK - I'm an Old School 8-bit guy (wrote my own music processor for the Commodore 64) - so I do not have an appreciation for the complexity of MuseScore. I DO like v3 - though my old eyes don't care so much for the tiny type on everything.
I know that the problem you have is also present in the "Continuous-View".
Try playing in "Page-View".
I just hope the problem can be solved in this way.
Not sure what tiny type you are referirng to, but you can change font size for the main UI in Edit / Preferences. Also, if MuseScore is not understanding your monitor resolution correctly, that can lead to things not scaling as they should, try the "-D xxx" command line option, where "xxx" is your monitor resolution in DPI. If those instructions aren't sufficient, I can send you more detailed one on a cassette tape for your C64 drive :-)

Computers ARE deterministic (thank goodness). But programmers aren't - especially with massive programs like MuseScore. To be fair, they are certainly working on it. Thanks to all the coders out there!
