When I put a hairpin in a measure with "start refrain" bar line, the hairpin gets longer than the measure that it's referred.

Title Bug with Diminuendo and Crescendo hairpin. Start repeat causes hairpin to extend to end of next measure
Frequency Many Once
Severity S4 - Minor S2 - Critical

Confirmed
I clarified up the name and raised the severity. I chose Critical because there is no way I found to fix this and it's a common notation. Frequency changed to 1 since this is the first report to my knowledge.

The hair pin needs to end at the end of the measure before the start repeat. I tried it with a 16th note and many longer notes. The tie doesn't affect the results, only where the note that ends the hairpin matters.

Priority P1 - High

For the record, in 3.0.5 this hairpin becomes shorter rather than longer. It looks like something in 3.1 version changed the old wrong behavior to the new one.

There was a bug during 3.1-beta that if their was a start repeat after a line, the line would shorten. It was fixed and I believe it probably caused this bug. I can't find the bug report though.

The one I'm thinking of I thought was fixed. I think by you, Marc, but you've fixed so many bugs I don't know for sure.

Thanks, but this one was fixed by Matt :-). If you follow the thread, it was fixed, or at the PR for it was merged, but somehow it didn't work. maybe something else changed that invalidated the fix. Not sure.
