With the Special Characters (F2) window open in lyrics entry, "-", "_", and space do not work

1) CTRL-L with a note selected to enter lyrics entry mode.
2) Press F2 to access the Special Characters window.
3) Double-click characters as desired to enter them as lyrics.
4) Press "-", "", or space to advance to the next syllable or word.
Expected effect- lyrics entry advances to the next syllable or word, as it did/does in MS 2.3.2.
Actual effect- nothing happens. In order to advance to the next syllable or word, press F2 to close the Special Characters window, then "-", "", or space to advance to the next syllable or word, then press F2 again to continue entry from Special Characters.
Other keyboard strokes, such as normal alphabet letters, seem to function normally with Special Characters open, only "-", "_", and space are affected.

In my tests this issue affects all characters rather than only specific ones. And if I manage to gain focus to score view again (either by clicking in the lyrics area or by switching to main MuseScore window) all characters start working again, including the ones listed here.
