"Dead key" diacritics are dropped when entering text

This happens with version 3.2.3 on Linux. When entering diacritics with dead keys (here on a French keyboard), the diacritics get dropped. E.g. typing "ö" just enters "o", in lyrics or any other text field. Diacritics encoded by a single key press (like "é" on a French keyboard) work.

Other Qt apps on the same system are not affected.
