I also have this problem on Windows 7 (MSv3.3.2) and it applies even when opening both a v2 or a v3 file directly. Also, I have tried removing the Musescore3 directory and Musescore3.inf file in AppData and even uninstalling and then reinstalling Musescore.

Maybe a duplicate of #275837: MuseScore crashes during start-up while displaying "Start center"? Does double-clicking a score start MuseScore without crashing? If so, then in Edit > Preferences > General disable the start center
